As a Localization Quality and Vendor Manager, you will play a key role in building scalable processes and driving continuous improvement to ensure our product resonates across languages and regions. You will join a dynamic, cross-functional team passionate about making every user experience feel authentic and impactful. This role blends operational quality ownership with hands-on vendor management, ensuring our language teams are well-resourced, high-performing, part of the community, and consistently delivering exceptional linguistic quality.

What you’ll be doing:

Quality Operations

  • Analyze feedback and scorecards to drive quality improvements.

  • Define and implement quality plans per language, project, or content type.

  • Evaluate project specifications and define appropriate quality strategies.

  • Identify quality risks, conduct root cause analyses, and drive corrective and preventive actions.

  • Monitor quality dashboards and share insights with stakeholders.

  • Triage, investigate and resolve language bugs from stakeholder feedback.

  • Ensure standards, guidelines and processes follow industry best practices.

Linguistic Asset Management

  • Support the creation of glossaries, style guides, and reference materials.

  • Ensure consistent updates, version tracking, and brand alignment.

Technology, Automation & Innovation

  • Spot process improvement opportunities using tools and dashboards.

  • Champion the strategic adoption of AI for scalable and efficient quality operations.

Vendor & Resourcing Management

  • Source, assess and on-board new linguists (translators, proofreaders, reviewers) through postings, outreach, platform searches, and experience evaluation.

  • Negotiate rates and scopes of work for linguistic services.

  • Manage the complete onboarding lifecycle and maintain up-to-date profiles, test results, and performance documentation across Preply systems.

Community & Performance Management

  • Track, review, and evaluate vendor performance against KPIs and SLAs.

  • Build strong relationships with linguists and language service providers, and align them with Preply’s quality and service expectations.

  • Support community engagement initiatives for the linguistic teams.

What you need to succeed

  • 3+ years of experience in localization vendor management, quality management, or a hybrid operations role.

  • Demonstrated expertise managing external linguists, language service providers, or global linguistic talent.

  • Solid understanding of quality frameworks, QA methodologies, and continuous improvement practices.

  • Hands-on experience in linguistic asset creation and maintenance (terminology, style guides).

  • Proficiency with localization and CAT tools and project management platforms.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret quality data and act on insights.

  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, especially with external partners.

  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and influence quality outcomes at scale.

  • Professional fluency in English and fluency in at least one additional language.

Nice to Have

  • Native or near-native proficiency in Polish, Japanese, Turkish, Arabic, or Korean.

  • Experience operationalizing AI tools or solutions within localization workflows.
