Lead Teacher: Web Development + AI (IT SkillSprint)

# About the Project

IT SkillSprint is a high-impact program delivered by Ironhack in collaboration with IDDA (Innovation and Digital Development Agency) and the Ministry of Higher Education of Azerbaijan.

This program is designed for 3rd-year university students with technical backgrounds. Students are fully released from their regular university classes to dedicate themselves entirely to the bootcamp. Upon successful completion, the credits earned count directly towards their university degree.

# Timeline & Baku Visit

  • Onboarding: Expected at the end of April (remote).

  • Class Start Date: as soon as posible.

  • Baku On-site Experience: You will have the opportunity to travel to Baku, Azerbaijan, for the final two weeks of the course. All travel expenses, including flights and accommodation, will be fully covered.

  • End Date: July 17th, concluding with the final project presentations and the closing ceremony in person.

  • Potential Extension: Possibility of a short remote extension (approx. 2 weeks) for student mentorship (TBC).

# Your Role & Responsibilities

As the Lead Teacher, you will lead a class of 28 students supported by a Teaching Assistant (TA):

  • Curriculum Delivery: Teaching Java, Spring Boot, React, and AI integration (GitHub Copilot/ChatGPT).

  • Daily Sessions: Monday to Friday, 12:00 to 16:30 CEST.

  • Student Support: Guiding students through labs and their final graduation projects.

  • On-site Leadership: Leading the final sprint and graduation ceremony on-site in Baku during July.

# Requirements

  • Technical Expertise: Proficiency in Java (Spring Boot) and JavaScript/TypeScript (React/Next.js).

  • AI Integration: Experience using AI tools for coding and debugging.

  • Language: Full fluency in English (mandatory).

  • Availability: Ready to travel to Azerbaijan for the final two weeks of the program in July.

# Position Details & Compensation

  • Format: Remote (May - June) + On-site in Baku (July).

  • Schedule: 12:00 to 16:30 CEST (4.5 hours/day, 2 hours of class and 2 hours of labs).

  • Travel: All expenses for the Baku visit (flights, lodging) are covered by the program.

  • Agreement: Freelance contractor agreement.

  • Future Potential: Opportunity for involvement in future editions of the program.
