This is a Remote position, open to candidates based in the Philippines.

About the Position
The Senior Accountant serves as a critical financial leader supporting our eCommerce marketplace and Direct eCommerce operations across multiple channels, business units, and selling formats. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Accounting and Operations, this role drives financial accuracy, compliance, and strategic insights for our company. This position requires deep eCommerce expertise and the ability to navigate the unique challenges of marketplace accounting at scale, as well as a deep understanding of US GAAP standards.

How You'll Spend Your Time:
  • 🛒eCommerce Revenue Operations: Lead revenue recognition and reconciliation across multiple sales channels and business units - ensuring accurate capture and split of gross vs. net revenue, expenses, etc.

  • 📦Inventory & COGS Management: Oversee complex inventory accounting, including inventory tracking, allocation across business units, and partial COGS reconcilations.

  • 💳Payment Reconciliation: Manage daily reconciliation of payment processors (credit cards, PayPal, etc.), handling settlement timing differences, chargebacks, and multi-department transactions.

  • 🌍Multi-Jurisdictional Tax Compliance: Ensure sales tax compliance across all states/countries we operate in.

  • 📊Financial Reporting & KPIs: Prepare comprehensive financial statements and eCommerce-specific metrics, including customer acquisition costs, lifetime value, conversion rates, and channel profitability analysis.

  • 🔍Internal Controls & Compliance: Implement and maintain robust internal controls specific to eCommerce operations, ensuring compliance with our internal standards and procedures.

  • 🤖Systems Integration: Work closely with our tech team to ensure proper financial data flow between our ERP, CRM, marketplace APIs, inventory management systems, and financial reporting tools.

Qualifications:
  • 🎓Professional Credentials: CPA certification required with 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience.

  • 🛍eCommerce Expertise: 2+ years of hands-on experience with eCommerce accounting, including marketplace operations, inventory management, multi-channel revenue recognition, and digital payment processing.

  • 📈Technical Proficiency: Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills, experience with cloud-based ERP systems (QuickBooks preferred), and familiarity with eCommerce platforms.

  • 🌐Regulatory Knowledge: Deep understanding of US GAAP and sales tax regulations.

Schedule Requirements

Employees are expected to work Monday-Friday within standard operating hours of 7am-5pm Eastern Time Monday-Thursday, and 8am-12pm Eastern Time Friday.

Salary

The salary for this position is 60,000 to 70,000 PHP (depending on experience) per month.
