We are looking for an exceptional Financial Controller with 4-6 years of experience in Finance, Accounting & Controlling. As a controller, you’ll ensure the integrity of financial data, oversee timely closings across multiple vehicles, and support audits (internal & external), all while contributing to system improvements and internal controls.
What you will be doing:
- Leading the financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, statutory reporting, and tax filings.
- Responsible for timely management of full-cycle accounting functions, including accurate and timely closings as well as the integrity of financial data.
- Review balance sheet reconciliations and P&L, ensuring transactions are properly reported in accordance with internal accounting policies and procedures.
- Management of suppliers, payments, expenses, and the company’s cash flow.
- Responsible for the coordination of internal and external financial audits including balance sheet reconciliations and independent audit support.
- Ensure compliance with local and international accounting standards and relevant regulations.
- Establish and monitor the accounting control procedures. Review control weaknesses and recommend improvements.
- Acting as a liaison with regulatory bodies, including the CNMV and Bank of Spain.
- Coordinating with auditors, tax advisors, and internal stakeholders to facilitate audits and financial planning.
- Contributing to strategic financial analysis and decision-making.
- Support to the investment team in all reporting processes.
- Support to the legal team in KYC processes and other related matters.
- Coordinate the platform and relationships with investors.
Who We are Looking For:
- Minimum 4-6 years of prior work experience within Finance, Accounting & Controlling; Degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance, or equivalent.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy and accountability.
- Proactive, entrepreneurial spirit.
- Highly organized and deadline-driven.
- Skilled at handling multiple tasks simultaneously through different legal entities.
- Expertise in prioritizing tasks according to their importance.
- Capable of working independently and collaborating within a team.
- Solid knowledge of accounting principles.
- Proficiency in Excel.
- Excellent communication skills in both oral and written English and Spanish.
